Terms of service
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of ckfnd.com (the “Website”) and any purchase of products or catering services from Century Korean Food & Desserts, trading as CKFND / 백년떡집 (“CKFND”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). By using the Website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, Shipping Policy, and Return and Refund Policy.
Products and availability
CKFND offers freshly prepared Korean rice cakes, desserts, and related catering products. Product photographs, descriptions, weights, colours, presentation, and packaging are provided for general guidance. As our products are handmade and freshly prepared, reasonable variations may occur.
All products are subject to availability. We may limit quantities, decline an order, or cancel an order where a product is unavailable, there is a material pricing or listing error, payment cannot be authorised, or fulfilment would be unsafe or impracticable. If we cancel an accepted order before delivery, we will notify you and refund the amount paid for the unavailable order.
Orders, pricing, and payment
Prices are shown in Hong Kong dollars (HK$). Delivery charges, if applicable, will be shown at checkout or confirmed before payment. We may correct an obvious pricing, product-description, or availability error before an order is fulfilled.
Your order is an offer to buy. We accept it only when we issue an order confirmation or otherwise confirm acceptance. Payment must be made through the payment method offered at checkout. You confirm that the payment information you provide is accurate and that you are authorised to use the chosen payment method.
For custom, catering, bulk, or event orders, the quotation, delivery date, product selection, and any special terms confirmed in writing form part of the agreement. If those written terms conflict with these Terms, the written terms apply to that order to the extent of the conflict.
Delivery and receipt
Delivery is available only within Hong Kong and is governed by our Shipping Policy. You are responsible for providing accurate recipient, telephone, address, access, and delivery information, and for ensuring that someone is available to receive the order at the agreed time.
Where you authorise delivery to a building concierge, reception desk, or other nominated person, delivery to that person will be treated as delivery to you. If delivery cannot be completed because the recipient, access, address, or contact information is unavailable or incorrect, we will make reasonable efforts to contact you. Any re-delivery, waiting, storage, or route-change charge may be payable by you. We are not responsible for deterioration caused after a failed or delayed delivery attributable to the customer or recipient.
Freshness, food safety, and allergens
All CKFND products are prepared fresh on the scheduled delivery date. For the best flavour and texture, we recommend eating them on the day of delivery and following any product-specific storage or reheating instructions supplied with the order.
Ingredients and allergen information can vary by product and supplier. Products may contain, or be prepared in an environment that handles, cereals containing gluten, crustaceans, eggs, fish, peanuts, soybeans, milk, tree nuts, sesame, sulphites, and other allergens. If you or a recipient has an allergy, intolerance, or other dietary requirement, contact us before placing the order. We will share available product information, but we cannot guarantee that any product is completely free from allergens or cross-contact.
You must inspect the order on delivery. Do not consume any product that appears damaged, contaminated, spoiled, or unsuitable. Please report any issue promptly under our Return and Refund Policy.
Acceptable use of the Website
You must not misuse the Website, interfere with its security or operation, submit false or misleading information, use automated means to access it without permission, infringe intellectual-property rights, or use the Website for any unlawful purpose.
Intellectual property
The Website and its content, including the CKFND and 백년떡집 names, logos, designs, photographs, text, menus, and graphics, are owned by or licensed to CKFND and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. You may use the Website for personal, non-commercial shopping purposes only. You must not reproduce, distribute, modify, or exploit Website content without our prior written consent.
Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Subject to that, CKFND is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss, or for loss arising from circumstances outside our reasonable control, including severe weather, transport disruption, public-health measures, utility failure, or other events that prevent or delay delivery.
Our total liability in connection with an order is limited to the amount paid for the affected order, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
Governing law and changes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. The courts of Hong Kong have non-exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms or an order.
We may update these Terms from time to time by posting a revised version on the Website. The version in force when you place an order applies to that order, unless a change is required by law or is expressly agreed with you.
